Sushant Singh Rajput lived 3 lifetimes in a single: Late actor’s stylist stocks a poignant message

One of Indian cinema’s brightest stars, Sushant Singh Rajput shocked fans and co-actors by reportedly committing suicide on Sunday. A small town boy with big dreams, Rajput was often idolized by aspiring actors for the mammoth success he had achieved in a career spanning just a decade. From playing Manav Deshmukh, a simpleton car mechanic in hit daily soap Pavitra Rishta to playing Anirudh “Anni” Pathak, a divorced middle-aged man living who inspires his son to defeat death in Chhichhore, the actor would always spring a surprise with each performance. A natural charmer, Sushant believed in simple living and high thinking and that often reflected in his understated style. The late actor always dressed simple but always made a statement. We got in touch with his stylist, Kazim of Priyanka & Kazim duo (the Vainglorious), who shared a fond memory of the actor after his recent and shocking death. Kazim later shared the same on Instagram.

Kazim shared how Sushant was a larger than life character, who believed in living life to the fullest.

He mentioned, “Soon after we had begun working with Sushant, a shoot in January 2017 called for us to travel overseas for 3 days. The shoot was finalised at the eleventh hour, which put me in a predicament because multiple other commitments compelled me to be in Mumbai. Priyanka stayed in Mumbai juggling gigs, and I decided to travel with Sushant and help set things up on the first day, figuring my team could take it from there. Sushant, being on brand, knocked out the work quickly, and suggested we use the remainder our time well. He insisted we needed to squeeze three nights’ worth of hedonism into that one night, since I was traveling back the next day. That one night is a microcosm of how Sushant lived, three lifetimes worth of living in one!”

Well, it’s not only a loss of a gem in the world called cinema, but also a star that shone brighter than others.

May your soul rest in peace, Sushant.
