Covid-19: Human trials of desi vaccine start in Haryana | India News – Times of India

ROHTAK: Haryana on Friday started human trials of a home-grown vaccine for Covid-19 on three volunteers, who have been administered their first dose on the Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Rohtak, stories Sat Singh.
O P Kalra, vice-chancellor of the University of Health Sciences, of which PGIMS is a component, mentioned that the trial of covaxin, developed by Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech, has began in 12 well being institutes, together with PGIMS-Rohtak and AIIMS, Delhi.
The volunteers, aged between 30 and 55 years, have confirmed no hostile results through the three-hour remark interval, Kalra added. He added that the second dose will likely be administered after two weeks.
Haryana well being and residential minister Anil Vij tweeted: “Human trial with Corona vaccine (covaxin) of Bharat Biotech began at PGI Rohtak at present. Three topics have been enrolled at present. All have tolerated the vaccine very effectively.”
